Cuenta conmigo

La de hoy va con bis y propina, para que no os quejéis. Se trata de el gran tema de Ben E. King "Stand by me". Esta canción adaptada de un tema gospel de 1955 interpretado por The Staples Singers, fue incluida en la banda sonora de la película Cuenta conmigo, basada en una novela del maestro del suspense y el terror Stephen King, a su vez basada en algunas aventurillas que tuvo el autor durante su infancia.

El tema "plagiador" es en este caso de un tal Sean Kingston y se llama "Beautiful girls". Como propina os dejo un par de versiones del tema original por el "Beatle pacifista" y por nuestros viejos conocidos los Fugees. La de Lennon fue una versión que hizo para el álbum "Rock 'n' Roll", publicado en 1975, apenas unas semanas antes de declarar su alejamiento del mundo de la música para dedicar en exclusiva su tiempo al recién nacido Sean Lennon. ¡A disfrutarlos!
